University of Texas at San Antonio

The Luxx apartments are situated near the UTSA campus in San Antonio. Part of the University of Texas system, UTSA is a state research university in San Antonio, Texas. UTSA serves more than 26,000 students and offers more than 150 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. UTSA Roadrunners

Student involvement is huge at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where students can participate in more than 300 officially recognized student groups and 17 athletic teams. As a member of Conference USA, the UTSA Roadrunners compete in football, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, baseball, and more. The university has hosted the men’s Final Four three times and has appeared in the tournament four times. As part of the I-35 rivalry, the Roadrunners main rival is the Texas State University Bobcats who reside just 50 miles north.

Research University

The University of Texas at San Antonio is classified as a “High Research Activity” university by the Carnegie Foundation and is committed to producing groundbreaking research. In 2013, the university spent $73 million in research and program expenditures, with research spending increasing by 97% over the last five years.

Colleges

Most students at UTSA seek degrees in business, management, marketing, biomedical sciences, psychology, and engineering. The College of Business is one of the largest business schools in the country, even beating out the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas System’s main campus in Austin, and is nationally ranked by The Princeton Review, Businessweek, and HispanicBusiness.
